Technically Speaking.
We’re the Best.

Working in technical.

Our unrivalled technical team includes over a decade of knowledge in lithium-ion battery production. World-leading expertise in engineering, maintenance, QA and support functions enables us to remain at the forefront of the electrification evolution, as the only mass-producing battery plant in the UK.

The dawn of our new gigafactory will propel us to the position of first electrode manufacturer in the country – an advancement that would not be possible without the dedication and know-how of our teams, already working on the new processes, software and machinery that will create the 16GWh capacity plant.

“It is such an exciting time to be at AESC. We are an established operator in a fast-growing market and the skills and knowledge of our people are what set us apart. The sheer diversity and cross-functionality in the workforce gives us the power to work together to make a difference.”

Graeme Clennell, Process Engineer

A Cross-functional Collaborative Team.

Transparency and teamwork are the mantras to which our technical teams work. Across all zones within the plant we have cross-functional teams that blend their skills and knowledge to not only keep our plant running but also implement a host of ongoing improvement projects. Employees are encouraged to highlight when things go wrong, to be able to share in finding the best solution and implement future processes to remove risks. Even in a fast-paced production environment, we believe in giving our teams the space to find the right, long-term solutions and improvements to continually improve our overall plant position.

Work with Cutting-edge Technology.

We exist in an industry shaped by technological innovation – with advancements in electrification and battery production found every day. It is an exciting time to be involved in the sector, with the latest equipment and machinery found in every corner of our operations. Smart manufacturing, automation, AGVs, robotics and mechatronics are at the heart of our manufacturing strategies, with on-site and off-site training with world-leading equipment manufacturers. We don’t follow others, we set our own path in technological evolution.
