Apprenticeship scheme
Maintenance apprenticeship
Our four year paid apprenticeship scheme combines a mix of on the job training and learning at Sunderland College. You will start to earn immediately when you start your apprenticeship and if you successfully complete our Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship scheme, you will achieve a level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard.
The apprenticeship will ensure you are fully equipped for a career in maintenance. It will also give you the experience of working on one of most cutting edge production lines anywhere in the UK.
AESC Sunderland has been manufacturing electric vehicle batteries in Sunderland for over a decade. We have a considerable track record behind us and with plans to double in size you will be joining the company at an exciting time.
Our Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised qualification and like all UK apprenticeships is hosted on the government’s apprenticeship service website. Look out for next year’s scheme opening early 2024.
HR apprenticeship
Our 2023 HR apprenticeship is now open for applications. Throughout your apprenticeship you will be trained to handle day to day queries and providing human resources advice including recruitment, onboarding and training. The apprenticeship provides a nationally recognised qualification and full details can be found on the government website, click on the link below to apply.

Graduate Scheme
We have closed the 2023 graduate scheme. Our two year graduate scheme will re-open winter 2024. In the meantime you are still welcome to apply for any of our regular roles.
