Our new gigafactory has made great progress since December’s First Pillar event marked the official start of the project.
AESC’s second Sunderland battery plant will have a capacity of 12 GWh and will employ more than a 1,000 people when operational in 2025. This represents a six fold increase in UK electric vehicle battery production in the UK.
The new gigafactory will be powered by 100% net zero carbon energy, aligning with our company’s global commitment to sustainability.
