AESC is a world leading Lithium Ion Battery manufacturer located in the North East of England. We are currently expanding our operations to support the development and operation of a new world class and innovative mass manufacturing Gigafactory. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new and rapidly growing industry.

With ambitious expansion plans already unveiled, our Engineering Graduate program is designed to fill our future engineering vacancies.

Our aim is to help you realise your potential and equip you to innovate and enhance the capability, safety and productivity of all our processes whilst reducing cost.

You will be integrated into an Engineering team liaising with all departments from your first day and be responsible for delivering results to improve and grow our business. You will participate in day to day manufacturing operations as well as being involved in the new plant start-up.

Outline and Responsibilities:
  • Represent engineering department in all aspects from initial project phase to mass production of the Gigafactory. Procurement of production facilities & processes.
  • Develop processes from design to integration and implementation, attending design reviews and working with equipment suppliers.
  • The job will involve working as an integral part of a multi-discipline cross functional team and require skills in the following areas:
  • Set & Measure process performance which are class leading, challenging but achievable.
  • Agree quality strategies to achieve KPI and quality targets.
  • Provide / Approve all aspects of process engineering documentation.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.1 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Preferred Subjects: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical & Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  • Highly motivated Graduates who are passionate about engineering, innovation and technology and are keen to learn from our industry experts.
  • Engineers that are able to take responsibility and want to gain hands on experience and who are passionate to learn as well as being strong communicators.
  • Good understanding of engineering principles as well as strong problem solving and leadership skills.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK.
