Mission & Main Objectives:

AESC is the world’s leading battery technology company and lithium-ion battery manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the North East’s highest profile manufacturing plants as we are expanding our operations at our battery manufacturing plant in Sunderland.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for developing and managing a rapidly expanding Maintenance site services section in achieving its key objectives.

Outline and Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for upkeep and management of primary building services including compressed air, chilled water, gas-fired steam boiler and LTHW plant, clean/dry room dehumidification and general HVAC plant, LEV and VOC extract systems, fire detection and suppression systems.
  • Supervise and lead a team of Maintenance Engineers, ensuring the completion of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks.
  • Schedule, allocate, and prioritise work orders, ensuring efficient resource management.
  • Day to day upkeep and management of site services including development and implementation of full lifecycle preventative maintenance strategies and schedules.
  • Responsibility for development and implementation of safe working procedures in accordance with recognised industry standards and approved codes of practice including FMEA and Risk assessment.
  • Management of major breakdown incidents, restoration and corrective maintenance.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Demonstrable experience in a relevant site services or mechanical maintenance/engineering role.
  • Demonstrable experience of management.
  • Knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Environmental compliance requirements.
  • Strong PC skills including MS applications, MS Project and AutoCAD or similar applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and presentation skills.
  • COMAH and ATEX experience desirable.
